You stand in front of a mirror, see yourself in real time, and trigger the camera yourself with a remote — whenever you want. No one watching, no time pressure, no one else choosing your photos. Flashing Light is the first studio of its kind in Frankfurt.

All of them. We don't curate, we don't delete. You receive every single image taken during your session — in full resolution, at no extra charge. A 30-minute session yields around 250 photos, 60 minutes around 500–550, and 80 minutes 700 or more.

No. You don't need any camera knowledge or posing experience. At the start, we briefly show you how the remote works and where to stand — it takes less than five minutes. Everything else is up to you: the pace, the poses, the expression. Many people bring a Pinterest board for inspiration. It works great.

A 2-minute walk. We're at Kaiserstraße 72, right in the centre of Frankfurt — accessible by U-Bahn, S-Bahn and tram. The studio is on the ground floor, with no steps, and is accessible by stroller and wheelchair.

Yes. We offer gift cards for all three session lengths. A gift card is a great idea if you want to give someone something that isn't an object — but an experience. You can buy one directly on the website.

No. Our AI editing optimises light, colour and contrast — like classic post-processing in Lightroom, just automated. We don't alter facial features or smooth skin beyond what looks natural. At the start, we manually create a personal retouching profile based on your first shots — tailored to your skin tone and lighting. All remaining photos are then processed automatically. Yes — it's one of the most common reasons people come to us. A current photo for LinkedIn or Xing that doesn't look like a CV headshot from 2018: the 30-minute session is often all you need. You get every shot, can choose at your own pace, and the results land in your inbox within 24 hours.

Different outfits if you're planning to change looks. Clean shoes or something to tape over the soles — this protects our backdrops. Feel free to bring your own jewellery, accessories or props. And if you'd like: a Pinterest board with ideas. A make-up area is available to you for 15 minutes before the session begins.
